Not eligible for the offer? You can still save.
Even if you don't meet the specific criteria for the Min. 10% Savings Offer, we still recommend running a comparison. Most of our customers find significant savings just by switching to a more competitive plan. It only takes a few minutes to see if you could be paying less.
Terms & Conditions
1. The Offer
1.1. One Click Switch (OCS) offers minimum 10% saving on your annual electricity costs when compared to your current electricity plan.
1.2. If the lowest-priced eligible electricity plan available on the OCS platform is not at least 10% cheaper than your current plan, OCS will pay you the difference required to reach a 10% saving, capped at a maximum payment of $500 AUD.
1.3. Savings are calculated by comparing the estimated annual cost of your current plan against the estimated annual cost of the cheapest eligible plan available on the OCS platform at the time of comparison.
1.4. Calculations are based on your actual electricity usage from the previous 12 months, retrieved via Consumer Data Right (CDR).
1.5. How estimates are calculated. Cost and savings estimates are based on the electricity usage data available from your current provider via CDR, applied to the published rates of each plan. Estimates are inclusive of GST and include guaranteed (unconditional) discounts and, where specified, solar feed-in credits. Estimates exclude conditional discounts, green energy options, rebates, concessions, credits (including temporary, one-off and goodwill credits), bill adjustments such as back-billing, outstanding balances and partial payments. Estimates are a guide only; your actual costs may be higher or lower depending on your future usage, when you use energy, and any changes your provider makes to its prices.
2. Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Min. 10% Savings Offer, you must meet all of the following requirements:
2.1. Location: Your supply address must be located in NSW, VIC, SA, ACT, TAS, or SE QLD.
2.2. Account Type: You must be the primary account holder for a residential electricity account. Business accounts are excluded.
2.3. Life Support: The account must not have registered life support equipment.
2.4. Tenure: You must have been with your current electricity provider at the same supply address for at least 12 months and 1 day prior to the comparison date, as verified by CDR data.
2.5. Bill Cap: Your current estimated annual electricity bill (based on 12 months of CDR usage applied to your current plan rates) must not exceed $5,000 AUD.
2.6. CDR Connection: You must successfully connect your usage data via CDR. Bill uploads, manual entry, or “quick estimates” are not eligible for the offer.
2.7. You must access the One Click Switch platform via the designated Westpac partner link or portal.
3. Fulfilment and Payment
3.1. The “Cheapest Plan” Rule: Savings are always calculated against the cheapest eligible plan on the OCS platform. If you choose to switch to a plan that is not the cheapest available, your payment will not increase, and savings will be calculated as described in clause 1.3.
3.2. To remain eligible for payment, you must not cancel your switch, move premises, or change your electricity plan with your new provider within the first 75 days following the switch.
3.3. This offer is only valid if the new provider accepts your application and the switch is successfully completed (passing all ID and credit checks).
3.4. Payment Method: Payments are issued via a Prezzee digital gift card. These are not redeemable for cash and are subject to Prezzee’s standard terms.
3.5. Timing: Final eligibility will be assessed once provider reconciliation has occurred. Any due payment will be issued within 75 days of the initial switch submission.
4. Exclusions and Limitations
4.1. If CDR data is incomplete, unavailable, or returned in a format that prevents an accurate calculation of your current plan costs (e.g., certain demand tariffs or provider data errors), this offer will not apply.
4.2. The items excluded from savings calculations under clause 1.5 (such as temporary or one-off credits, goodwill credits, back-billing and other bill adjustments) are not considered part of your ongoing plan rates and are excluded from savings calculations for the purposes of this offer.
4.3. Price Changes: Any rate changes by your current or new provider occurring after the date of comparison will not affect the calculated payment amount.
4.4. Limit: One claim per household/supply address per calendar year.
4.5. Reliance on third-party data. OCS calculates your eligibility, your savings, and any payment under this offer using Consumer Data Right (CDR) data and plan, rate and tariff information obtained from your current and prospective electricity providers, CDR data holders, our accredited data partner and other third parties. OCS relies on this information being accurate, complete and current. OCS does not independently verify it and is not responsible for any error, omission, delay or inaccuracy in data supplied by a provider, a CDR data holder, our data partner, or any other third party, including (without limitation) incorrectly reported tariffs, rates, standing or guaranteed discounts, or usage.
4.6. Estimates only. All savings figures, comparisons and projected payments presented to you are estimates based on the data available to OCS at the time of comparison. They are not a promise or representation that you will achieve any particular saving, percentage or dollar outcome after switching. Your actual costs will depend on your future usage, the actual rates and charges applied by your providers, and any discounts, credits, conditions or arrangements on your account that may not be reflected in the data available to OCS at the time of comparison.
4.7. Inaccurate data. In addition to clause 4.1, where the data used to calculate your current plan costs or your eligible savings is inaccurate or incorrect (whether or not this was apparent at the time of comparison), this offer may not apply, or the saving and any payment may differ from the figure originally presented to you. OCS is not liable for any difference between the saving or payment originally estimated and the saving or payment determined using corrected data.
5. General
5.1. OCS reserves the right to verify Westpac customer status or eligibility and may refuse payment if it reasonably believes the offer is being misused or if data has been manipulated.
5.2. OCS may withdraw or amend this campaign at any time; however, any customer who has already submitted a switch will have this offer honoured subject to these terms.
5.3. Recalculation and correction. If OCS becomes aware that data used to assess your eligibility or to calculate any payment under this offer was inaccurate, incomplete or incorrect, OCS may recalculate your eligibility and payment using corrected data. Following a recalculation, OCS may confirm, adjust or reduce any payment, to reflect the corrected figures. OCS will notify you where a recalculation materially changes your eligibility or the payment due to you.
5.4. Where OCS determines that you did not receive the minimum 10% saving contemplated by clause 1.2 because of inaccurate data supplied to OCS by a third party, OCS may, acting reasonably, reassess your entitlement under this offer using corrected data, so that the minimum 10% saving is calculated against your true current plan costs. Any resulting payment remains subject to the maximum payment of $500 in clause 1.2 and the one-claim limit in clause 4.4.
